We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, bank or financial institution. We do not manage money, we do not give personalised advice, and we do not sell financial products. We aim to give readers a clear, useful read on what is moving in stocks, in the macro picture and in policy, and to do it without the noise.
What we publish
Our work reaches readers two ways: articles on this website, organised by topic, and four email editions, each with its own list and its own sending address:
- Anchor Daily Brief: weekdays, the five stories that matter before the open.
- Stock Watch: weekdays, pre-market, earnings and notable moves.
- The Investing Letter: Sundays, one long read on how to think about a portfolio.
- Economy Weekly: Thursdays, rates, inflation, labour and policy.
Advertising appears in two formats: clearly labeled Sponsored sections within our editorial editions, and dedicated Partner Messages sent only to readers who separately opt in to that list. Editorial coverage remains independent of advertising.
Who we write for
General US adult readers who hold investments, through a brokerage account, a 401(k) or an IRA, but who are not professional traders. People who want context and brevity rather than a ticker tape. We assume intelligence and we do not assume a finance degree.
How we work
Editors choose stories that matter to US retail investors and add the context that is usually missing: what changed, why it matters, what is priced in, and what we do not know. Reporting is kept distinct from characterisation. When we have a view we say it is a view. We aim for clarity over cleverness.
We do not publish price targets, "buy" or "sell" calls, or anything that implies a guaranteed outcome. Our editorial standards explain how we label sponsors, how we correct errors and what we will never do.
Editorial team
Editors sign the editions they write. If a name in your inbox does not appear here, it did not come from us; see our sending addresses.
Content sourcing and disclosure
Some articles are republished from partner outlets under licence, always with attribution at the top of the piece. The website and the editions are supported by advertising and by affiliate partnerships. Where a link may earn us a commission, we say so next to the link. Full details are in our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy.
