We send email only to people who asked for it, only what they asked for, and we stop the moment they say so.

Our commitment

We send email only to people who asked for it, only what they asked for, and we stop the moment they say so. We treat our sending reputation as part of our editorial reputation.

How people join our lists

  1. By entering their address in a form on anchorassetview.com, choosing editions, ticking an unticked consent box and then clicking the link in our confirmation email.
  2. By doing the same on a partner's sign-up page where Anchor Asset View is named explicitly, with an unticked box, followed by our own confirmation email.

That is the full list. We do not buy, rent, trade, borrow or scrape addresses. We do not add addresses from contact forms, purchases, downloads, events or business cards. We do not use pre-ticked boxes, hidden consent or "subscribe by default" flows. We do not import lists from other publishers.

Double opt-in

Every sign-up triggers one confirmation email. Unconfirmed addresses receive nothing else and are deleted after 48 hours. We record date, time, IP address and source page for both the sign-up and the confirmation and keep that record for 5 years.

What every marketing email contains

  • An accurate From name and a From address on our published sender list.
  • A subject line that describes the content; no "Re:", "Fwd:", fake urgency or misleading claims.
  • The name of the edition and why you are receiving it (your sign-up source and date).
  • A one-click unsubscribe link and a link to the preference center, in plain sight in the footer.
  • List-Unsubscribe and List-Unsubscribe-Post: List-Unsubscribe=One-Click headers (RFC 8058), DKIM-signed, so your mail app can show its own unsubscribe button.
  • Our legal name and postal address: Anchor Asset View, LLC, 130 Neill Avenue, Helena, MT 59601, United States.
  • A clear "Sponsored" label on any paid content.

How to unsubscribe, and how fast we act

Click the footer link, use your mail app's unsubscribe button, or visit anchorassetview.com/unsubscribe. No login, no confirmation step, no "tell us why". The request is processed the moment it is received. Messages already handed to the mail server may still arrive; in every case you will receive nothing new after 48 hours, which is well inside the 10 business days CAN-SPAM allows and the 2 days mailbox providers expect. Unsubscribed addresses go on a permanent suppression list.

List hygiene

  • Hard bounces are removed after the first occurrence; soft bounces after three consecutive.
  • Spam complaints received via feedback loops are treated as unsubscribes immediately.
  • Subscribers with no opens or clicks for 90 days receive one re-engagement email. If there is no response within the following 30 days, they are removed from active mailing lists.
  • We monitor complaint rates in Google Postmaster Tools and Yahoo's feedback loop and keep them below 0.1 %.
  • Editorial newsletters, including those containing Sponsored sections, use their regular editorial sending addresses and lists. Dedicated Partner Messages use a separate From address and opt-in list. Transactional emails use a separate sending address.

Dedicated advertising emails are sent only to subscribers of the separate Partner Messages list. Editorial newsletters may also contain clearly labeled Sponsored sections. Advertisers never receive our subscriber list; all emails are sent by Anchor Asset View from our own sending addresses. If you have unsubscribed from an advertiser directly, that does not automatically remove you from our Partner Messages, because we cannot see their records; unsubscribe from Partner Messages in the preference center and you will receive no further paid messages from us.

Authentication

All sending domains publish SPF, DKIM (2048-bit keys) and DMARC. Our From domain aligns with DKIM so DMARC passes. We send over TLS, maintain forward and reverse DNS for our sending infrastructure, and never send bulk mail from the root anchorassetview.com domain or from webmail addresses.

Laws we follow

CAN-SPAM Act (US); CASL (Canada), for which we obtain express consent; GDPR and the UK GDPR and PECR for EEA and UK readers; CCPA/CPRA and other US state privacy laws. Where laws differ we apply the stricter rule to everyone.

Report abuse

If you received an email from us that you did not ask for, or one that pretends to be from us, forward it with full headers to abuse@anchorassetview.com. We respond within one business day, remove the address, trace the source and tell you what we found. Mailbox providers and ESPs may use the same address.
